Born in Valenza, Italy, also named “the golden city,” Annalisa spent her childhood surrounded by art, beautiful jewelry, and gemstones, and a culturally rich and sophisticated environment, being the third generation of a jeweler’s family.

She grew up in the countryside, immersed in the beauty of the nature of her splendid family house, located in the Monferrato area, one of the most important wine districts of Italy, also renowned for the strong literacy tradition, the beautiful castles, and historical sites.

Besides jewelry, horses were Annalisa’s family passion. At the age of three, she started to learn horseback riding trained by her dad and her older brother. Soon she discovered also a great passion and talent for dance.

Since a very early age she loved to follow her dad into his workshop and observe him while he was creating his wonderful jewels, she was fascinated by everything around her; the stone’s colors, the technique, and tools used but mostly the precision and search of perfection in her dad’s crafts.

Her talent as designer was shown since she was very little, she used to spend hours drawing, particularly outfits for her dolls and then, helped by her Mom, which was a very talented and renowned shoe designer and maker, Annalisa learned how to realize her little creations.

Jewelry, fashion, art, culture, elegance, and sophistication, were the symphony of elements in Annalisa’s surrounding heritage. Her strong desire to express her creativity and the passion for the art of jewelry grew even more after she enrolled at the Valenza’s Institute of Art B. Ari Sezgin

Born in Istanbul Turkey from Armenian parents, Ari was exposed to art, music and unique craftmanship since a very young age. His father and uncle were renown in the area as special order shoe makers, while his mom was a tailor. Ari’s sister followed her passion for music and she’s a piano teacher now as well as other members of their family.

Ari was just 12 when he discovered his passion for gemstone and jewelry, visiting his cousin’s jewelry store at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

That summer instead of playing and having fun as the other kids, he asked his cousin if he could learn to set diamonds and be an apprentice at his store. He had to take every day 3 different transportations in order to get there, including a boat to cross the Bosphorus River.

Ari enrolled into Yjldiz University to study Electrical Engineering but his passion for jewelry and gemstones made him realize that, that was the path he wanted to pursue, so he joined permanently his cousin at the jewelry store to improve his skills as diamonds setter and learn even more.

During his years of apprenticeship, Ari learned how to carve wax, cast metal, polish and plating jewelry. His passion and desire to learn made him became not just a master setter but a full trained master jeweler.

In 1984 Ari moved to the United States and settled in Los Angeles where, after working in a jewelry store for two years, was able to open his own store.

During all those years, Ari established his business, becoming a point of reference for big jewelry brands and designers looking for quality and perfection, but also for young jewelers that wanted to learn and mastering the art of gemstone setting.

Overall those years he created so many pieces but still every time he starts a new project, he is excited as the first time.

Love, patience and dedications are the key factors that brought him to become the top master setter he is today.
